New initiative...& HOODIES!!!

Two-Five Cloth is excited to announce the new initiative to help those that were greatly affected by Hurricane Ike (see below!) Also, go to www.25cloth.com to buy a COOL HOODIE or an Ike Relief T! What an awesome Christmas gift for so many people on your list...and how awesome that you change lives at the same time!!!
Hurricane Ike was the third most destructive hurricane to hit the United States. Damage from Ike in America is estimated at 27 billion dollars, and over 100,000 homes were flooded in Texas. While Ike has come and gone, its devastation will continue to linger as we begin to piece back together what Ike has shattered.

Life for those who survived Ike will forever be changed. Some will mourn the loss of loved ones, while other will return to homes that have been destroyed and jobs that no longer exist. What would you do if you went home today to helplessly find it in ruins? What if your community was destroyed and your life as you knew it had disappeared before your eyes? In your desperation, what would you want others to do for you?
Join with Two-Five this quarter in restoring the lives of those affected by Hurricane Ike. With every shirt purchased from 25cloth.com you are changing the lives of those living in the aftermath of Ike. Over 40% of the proceeds from Ike relief shirts and 25% of all other shirts go towards providing food, building supplies, clothes, and other necessities to these victims. You have the ability to bring comfort, peace, and restoration to hurting people. Will you join us?

Two-Five in Ghana, Africa

Recently Kolby and Emily Kerr went to Ghana, Africa for a three-week volunteer placement at Village Exchange Ghana. They worked primarily with their micro-credit program and Kolby spent some time teaching English to local youth. The micro-credit work involved assessing and selecting loan candidates, organizing workshops, reviewing business plans, and setting up new loan groups. Offering these small loans to the disadvantaged women of Ghana is VEGs main tool for poverty alleviation. ... What an awesome example these two are of "Being Two-Five!"

Thank you, Kolby and Emily for making a difference in the world and for telling us about it!

New Initiative...Buy a family a chicken TODAY!

Survival is not something that most of us have to struggle with on a regular basis. But, for many families in India, it is something they are confronted with everyday. They are consistently wondering if their families will have food for the coming days or even weeks at a time. For these people, a rooster and hen are not pets. They are the source of up to 40 dozen eggs a year! When a pair produces chicks, a flock develops that will provide nourishment and income for years.
***
This quarter, when you buy a shirt from Two-Five (25cloth.com), you are giving a family in India a chicken. By this simple act, you will be providing them with food from the eggs produced and a source of income. This can literally change the fate of the family and the community in which they exist.
***
By simply purchasing a shirt, you are changing a family's life. What other shirt do you have that has made someone's life better or given them hope? Our desire is that this is just the beginning of your journey in making a difference in the lives of others.

New initiative...Help cure club foot TODAY!

Every year, 200,000 children are born in developing countries with club-foot. Untreated, that would be 2 million children with disabilities in the next 10 years. This is NOT a minor disability, yet it is a simple fix.
These children are seen as burdens on their families and are rejected by the community. At times, it has been said that they are cursed by the devil. They cannot walk to school to get an education, or contribute to their community. It is too difficult physically and emotionally.
25 Cloth is now partnering with an organization to help these children. This quarter, when you buy a shirt, you will also supply the cast materials for one child. With your purchase, a child will have the opportunity to heal properly and enjoy one of life's basic functions--to walk. Thank you for joining with 25 Cloth to make a difference.

Q Conference in NYC

On April 9-11, Matt and Brad (the founding partners of Two-Five Cloth) traveled to New York City to attend the annual Q Conference...an elite culture conference that they were invited to for Two-Five. It was such an awesome opportunity to be able to share the dream and vision of the company with so many influential people. Not only did they hear awesome speakers and a private concert from The Fray, but even got chosen to be one of ten people that got to speak for 3 minutes about their company on stage. We are excited to see how the people from the conference will help to change lives with Two-Five!

Here is Courtney from Fermi. She leads the Rwanda Clean Water campaign that Two-Five has supported this first quarter. She wore her Two-Five shirt the first day of the conference so that Matt and Brad could easily spot her! ...

Being Two-Five in Houdurus

A group from CCBC recently went to Hondorus on a mission trip. Here is the letter that Austin Moss, the youth pastor, wrote about their experience Thank you, CCBC for "being two-five!"...
Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church recently partnered with 25 Cloth to go on a mission trip to Honduras. We took 20 people from our high school ministry including students and volunteers. The group was led by an organization called Extreme Missionary Adventures (XMA).
So what did we do? We flew into San Pedro Sula, drove five hours to a town called Olanchito, and the next day began hiking on foot into the jungle. We visited three jungle villages: La Balsa, Canoa, and Chile. We hiked for hours to get to the villages. Once we arrived, we were able to show God’s love to the villagers by passing out the Jesus bracelets with the black, red, white, blue, green, and yellow beads. We also gave out Beanie Babies to the children. We played games and told them Bible stories all day, and there was one thing that we did at every village we went to. We couldn’t leave without playing soccer against the men in the village! Soccer was the only sport that they knew and they loved it! They used machetes to quickly build some make-shift goals and the game was on.
Futbol, or soccer certainly wasn’t our game. We got beat, but we had fun and we were able to break down a lot of barriers that had been keeping these people from knowing Christ. Each night we showed “The Jesus Film” in Spanish and our Honduran pastors would give an invitation. At the village of Canoa, a village that only had 18 families, 20 people came to know Jesus as their savior that night. It was amazing!
After four days in the villages, we returned to Olanchito to visit an orphanage, make repairs to their Christian radio station, and join the local church for a celebration service. The people of Olanchito welcomed us everywhere we went, and we were able to build up their body of believers.
Even though our group went to Honduras with a mind to change the world, something else happened while we were there. God showed us how people who looked poor to us could be rich in spirit. These people were completely happy and they were satisfied by God. As it turns out, God changed our world as well.

Thank you 25 Cloth for being a part of our mission to Honduras.
